FLO TV officially launched its pocketable, smartphone-like TVs:PTV 350

qualcommChipmaker Qualcomm’s mobile broadcast television subsidiary FLO TV has officially launched its PTV 350 personal television for sale today.Qualcomm and hardware maker HTC exposed the smartphone-sized device in October. Like other HTC’s smartphones, the FLO TV PTV 350 includes a 3.5″ touchscreen,a built-in stereo speakers, and a special battery with support of 5 hours of continuous mobile broadcast viewing.

The FLO TV Personal Television is available today for $249, and includes six months of free service to entice customers into checking it out.Users must sign a contract which incurs a monthly charge between $8.99 and $15.00 in order to receive that free half-year.FLO TV service includes programming from Adult Swim Mobile, CNBC, MSNBC, MTV, NBC 2Go, Comedy Central,CBS Mobile, FOX News Channel, and Nickelodeon,is available 24 hours a day.It has Video streams at 15-30 frames per second.Its Coverage is mostly concentrated around city areas, and some states like Montana, Wyoming, Vermont, Kentucky, West Virginia, North and South Dakota, and New Hampshire, have no service yet.
